Indoorcycling nahm seinen Ursprung in den Fitness-Studios; aber die robusten und widerstandsfähigen Indoorbikes wie das Kettler Indoorbike Speed Pro finden auch für das Heimtraining immer mehr Anhänger. Der Begriff Indoorbike bezeichnet einen Heimtrainer mit sehr hoher Belastbarkeit, ohne Computeranzeigen und ohne Freilauf (daher kann man bei einem Indoorbike nicht einfach das Treten unterbrechen; für den Notfall hat das Kettler Indoorbike Speed Pro allerdings ein Notbremssystem).
Die äußerst stabile Rahmenkonstruktion und die zuverlässige Lagerungstechnik des Kettler Indoorbikes Speed Pro Ediiton 2007 sind für den professionellen Einsatz und den Studiobetrieb ausgelegt, die 18kg Schwungmasse sorgt für einen sehr guten Rundlauf.
